The Schlage Residential Configurator is a standalone Unity application designed to let users preview and customize door hardware in real time. It provides a way to visualize combinations of levers, knobs, escutcheons, deadbolts, and finishes on both interior and exterior door styles — helping users make more informed design decisions for their homes.

I led development on the Unity side, focusing on building a flexible and intuitive customization system. Key tasks included:

• Creating a modular 3D asset structure for swapping out hardware components
• Implementing UI controls for selecting styles, finishes, and door types
• Handling camera logic and lighting to keep the experience clear and polished
• Ensuring smooth performance on showroom hardware and standard desktop systems

The app was built to balance product accuracy with usability — aiming to show just enough realism without overloading the user or device. It’s a simple idea with a lot of moving parts under the hood, and it was rewarding to see it all come together in a clean, interactive experience.
